ABOUT

The "DigitalCRAFT" project is a focused on interdisciplinary research, innovation, and graphic design.
The main objective of the project is to measurably enhance the quality and relevance of vocational education and training in design, innovation and graphic design fields within a 14-month timeframe by fostering international collaboration, developing and implementing a joint curriculum and empowering a minimum of 50 VET teachers /trainers across Italy and Romania, ultimately improving the employability and career prospects of VET students in the dynamic future job market.

The partnership between SLI Bacău and Un/Lab was formed through a shared interest in promoting innovation and improving the quality of vocational education and training (VET) for students. CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT

UN-LAB and SLI BACĂU worked together in developing a comprehensive curriculum that incorporates design thinking methodologies and graphic design techniques. This curriculum was designed for VET students and is focus on various sectors, such as advertising, branding and digital media.

TRAINING SESSIONS

A series of virtual and in presence training sessions for VET teachers and trainers to familiarize them with the new curriculum, teaching methods, and graphic design tools.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION

The management activity ensures the effective coordination, implementation and monitoring of the project. The target group for this activity primarily includes members of the project management team from SLI BACĂU and UN -LAB ITALY. These people are directly involved in the planning, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of project activities.

CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT

Un/lab and SLI BACAU worked together to develop a comprehensive curriculum that incorporates design thinking methodologies and graphic design techniques. The curriculum development process will aim to create a comprehensive program that incorporates design thinking methodologies and graphic design techniques, making it applicable to various sectors and relevant for students from different VET disciplines.

TRANSNATIONAL TRAINING IN ITALY

The training activity took place in Perugia, between June 2 and 6, 2024, with the participation of 10 teachers from the 3 VET schools in Romania, trainers and experts from the project implementation team. The training lasted for 5 days, with 3 days dedicated to in-person sessions in Perugia and 2 days allocated for online learning. The primary objective of this training was to validate the joint curriculum produced in A.3, ensuring that it meets the needs and expectations of the project stakeholders and ultimately enhances the skills of VET students in the fields of design thinking and graphic design. Furthermore, it will provide hands-on experience and knowledge to the participants.

NATIONAL TRAINING IN ROMANIA

The training will involve at least 40 teachers, focusing on the finalized and validated curriculum. With a duration of 3 days and an additional 2 days of homework, the training aims to provide a comprehensive learning experience for the participants. The trainers for this activity will be the teachers who attended the training in Perugia, ensuring that they have the necessary expertise to transfer their knowledge effectively.

RAISING AWARNESS CAMPAIGN

The project will implement a targeted awareness campaign in at least 20 schools (10 schools per country) to promote the new curriculum and the benefits of integrating design thinking methodologies and graphic design techniques into VET education. The campaign will specifically focus on creating and disseminating a short raising awareness video that highlights the project's objectives, the new curriculum, and its advantages for students and educators.

The Communication and Dissemination (C&D) activity plays a crucial role in helping to reach the project objectives.
