UN-LAB S.N.C. DI BRONCOLO LUCA E BUSSOTTI ANTONELLA (UN/LAB) – ITALY is a platform for the United Nations to experiment with new technologies and approaches to development. It was launched in 2015 with the goal of helping the UN to better understand and use technology to achieve its Sustainable Development Goals. The UN-Lab works with a variety of partners, including governments, businesses and civil society organizations. It has a number of initiatives underway, including:
• A project to develop a global digital platform for sharing information about sustainable development.
• A project to use blockchain technology to track the movement of food and other commodities.
• A project to use artificial intelligence to improve the efficiency of UN operations.
The main activities of UN-LAB are linked to training opportunities for young and adult learners and school teachers on various issues. UN-LAB has a huge network of collaborations with local schools, youth organizations (regional and national youth forum), universities and fine arts academies.
